SACRAMENTS
Baptism Marriage Reconciliation Anointing of the Sick Sacraments for Adults
Baptism
The sacrament of Baptism is celebrated on the third Saturday of each month. Parents should call Lynn Fein (821-0550 or relform@verizon.net) prior to the birth of their child to make arrangements for the Pre-Baptism program.
Marriage
Couples must make arrangements in person at least seven months in advance. No date for a wedding will be set by phone. Arrangements can be made only after all consultations are complete. Set your date with the church before you contract with a caterer.
Our Ministry to Engaged Couples includes:
- Your initial interview with a priest or deacon
- Participation in Pre-Cana
- Preparing your wedding liturgy with a choice of appropriate music
- Readings and Prayers and the arranging of your rehearsal
Reconciliation
Come and experience God's mercy!
The sacrament of Reconciliation is offered as follows:
- Saturdays from 4:00 - 4:45 p.m.
- Or you may schedule another time with a priest from the rectory.
In addition, during the Seasons of Advent and Lent two Penance Services are offered, one geared towards families with young children, and one open to all.
Anointing of the Sick
Periodically we have a parish celebration. However, if you or someone in your family is seriously ill or going to the hospital for a serious operation, then call the Rectory. Anyone going in the hospital or who may be sick at home should inform the Rectory so that the parish can pray for you.
Adults for Sacraments
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the process by which people become members of the Roman Catholic Church. Adults who wish to be prepared for Baptism, Confirmation, and/or Eucharist are asked to contact the Mr. John McNamara at (631) 744-9525.
